Ben & Danielle » Engaged

autumn engagement photos | Fort Dodge, Iowa

These two could not have been more sweet and enjoyable to work with! Ben and Danielle have a quiet chemistry and their connection is clear. We trekked around Fort Dodge, following the best fall colors one evening this past weekend, and I have to say I think we found them! They even had the best location of all scouted out by Ben’s mom. Red ivy is my new favorite backdrop! Check out some frames from their lovely sunset engagement below:sun flare autumn engagement photos | Fort Dodge, Iowa autumn engagement photos | Fort Dodge, Iowa autumn engagement photos | Fort Dodge, Iowa autumn engagement photos | Fort Dodge, Iowa autumn engagement photos | Fort Dodge, Iowa autumn engagement photos | Fort Dodge, Iowa autumn engagement photos | Fort Dodge, Iowa autumn engagement photos | Fort Dodge, Iowa autumn engagement photos | Fort Dodge, Iowa autumn engagement photos | Fort Dodge, Iowa autumn engagement photos | Fort Dodge, Iowa

These two could not have asked for a more beautiful wedding! (They could have asked for a little warmer weather, but everyone handled it really well!)  Their wedding was full of personal touches, handmade details, and so much love. Amber’s bouquet was specially made to include an image of her grandma, and a sweet handwritten note wrapped around the base. The toasts included stories of fluffing all the table decorations for the reception. The bridesmaids helped Amber with her vows with song. Every ounce of love these two share and every ounce of love their friends and family have for them went into the creation of this wedding. And it showed. Check out some of the beautiful frames from their big day:

Renita & Brandon » engaged!

Renita and Brandon were so much fun to photograph. Their love was easy to capture, because their love is easy. The chemistry between these two practically smacks you in the face when you meet them! 🙂  I mean, they even made sure I captured some with their “comfy pose” they always fall into when they chill on the couch at home. And despite running into two huge group events at our various locations, they had faith that I could capture what they were looking for. But enough talk from me! Check out an extended preview of my time with Renita and Brandon:

Hello all!  Sorry for the large delay in blogging… I’ve been busy trying to continue settling into our new home, decorating for Christmas (we’re hosting this year! eeeee!), and getting client’s holiday orders all arranged, packaged, and sent out.  It’s so SO good to see this much activity even in the “down season.”  I am feeling the love, folks!

Shawn contacted me a couple weeks ago about setting up a session with her family, and at the time I was nervous about the weather. It’s been cold, snowy, and windy here but somehow we managed highs in the 40s with no wind that day! We got really lucky 🙂  The whole family was so sweet and lovely, it was just a really great time.  Even their dog posed politely! Talk about awesome.  Anyway, I’ll leave you with some frames from their session:fort dodge iowa family photographer fort dodge iowa family photographer fort dodge iowa family photographer fort dodge iowa family photographer fort dodge iowa family photographer fort dodge iowa family photographer fort dodge iowa family photographer fort dodge iowa family photographer fort dodge iowa family photographer fort dodge iowa family photographerUntil next time, DFTBA!

fall quote

Hi friends! I had a little break between jobs today and wanted to get some fresh air, so I took my kitties into our backyard with my camera to do some exploring.  It was also a nice moment of reflection as I prepare to head to my last shift at the book store. I’ve been working there part time for over 2 years now, and leaving is part of a big change in my life. Between moving out (fingers crossed) and making photography a bigger part of my daily life, things will be changing for me quite a bit in the coming months.  It only felt right to document that change with the change in seasons. So, before I get too nostalgic about changes and life and stuff, let me leave you with some frames from our backyard adventure:fall photographyfall photographyfall photographyfall photographyfall pet photography I always catch them at the best moments! hahahafall photography

Hey folks! Today I wanted to talk a little bit more in-depth about my Holiday Sessions.  As previously mentioned, I am offering Holiday Sessions this year, starting at $100!

I know this time of year gets so super busy, it’s very easy to lose track of things and put them off until the last minute. That’s why I wanted to offer a set of sessions that were affordable, quick, and all-inclusive.  The sessions are only an hour long, and each package option features a large print for your wall, as well as a set of Holiday Cards made from your photo(s)!  All for one low price. So there’s no excuse to say you don’t have time or you just forgot!  Call, text, message, or email me asap and I will take care of everything. Check that off your holiday to-do list 😉

Aaaand, in case you’re curious, here’s a gallery of holiday card designs that I offer!  Each one is customizable to your needs 🙂
