bride and groom in fall | fort dodge iowa wedding photographer

These two could not have asked for a more beautiful wedding! (They could have asked for a little warmer weather, but everyone handled it really well!)  Their wedding was full of personal touches, handmade details, and so much love. Amber’s bouquet was specially made to include an image of her grandma, and a sweet handwritten note wrapped around the base. The toasts included stories of fluffing all the table decorations for the reception. The bridesmaids helped Amber with her vows with song. Every ounce of love these two share and every ounce of love their friends and family have for them went into the creation of this wedding. And it showed. Check out some of the beautiful frames from their big day:

Ahhhh….it’s that time of year again! Every time I leave my house it seems like the trees are a little more colorful and the air is getting a little cooler. Fall is my favorite time of year, and not just for the amazing photographs I can create during this season! Chai tea, apple dumplings, crunchy leaves…. I’m that typical girl with a pumpkin spice latte and scarf around her neck this time of year!

That said, I was really excited to capture this family’s photos in a lovely autumn setting. The weather was much warmer than we had expected, but it was ultimately a wonderful day. While the temps weren’t exactly “autumn,” the trees were totally cooperating and I was loving it! Check out these gorgeous fall family photos:

Renita & Brandon » engaged!

hockey puck engagement ring

Renita and Brandon were so much fun to photograph. Their love was easy to capture, because their love is easy. The chemistry between these two practically smacks you in the face when you meet them! 🙂  I mean, they even made sure I captured some with their “comfy pose” they always fall into when they chill on the couch at home. And despite running into two huge group events at our various locations, they had faith that I could capture what they were looking for. But enough talk from me! Check out an extended preview of my time with Renita and Brandon:

If you’ve been following me for a while now you will know that I’ve had the great opportunity to photograph little Stella as she’s grown through her first year! It has been absolutely incredible to watch this little cutie blossom from a sleepy baby to a smiley, waving, camera-loving one-year-old! She celebrated her milestone with balloons and of course a cake 🙂  Check it out:

Molly & Tyler » engaged

I first met with Molly and Tyler a few weeks ago, and could tell immediately that they were kindred souls. You know that couple in the movies where the camera catches him looking at her with “the look?” Yeah, they’ve got that chemistry! Plus, they know how to have fun together, which I think is key. 🙂  It made for a really fun evening together, that’s for sure!  I really cannot wait to capture all the wonderful moments of their big day next year!  Without further delay, check out some beautiful frames from their sunset engagement session at Briggs Woods park!

This was the cork from their bottle of champagne when he proposed! Did I mention they’re basically the cutest?!

Like I mentioned, I’ll be capturing their big day next summer, and I can’t wait to share all the beauty and love with you all 🙂

The M Family » Fort Dodge, IA

This week I met up with the M family at Kennedy Park around sunset for some family photos!  They were such troopers, despite the mosquitoes. (We definitely thought the bugs would be gone after the freezing nights we had lately! But no such luck.)  Their son, Alex, recently turned 2 so we did a few shots with just him too. He brought his Thomas the train toys, and we played a little bit. He’s very imaginative…and not short on energy!  Without further ado, take a peek at some gorgeous frames from our golden hour adventure:

Priscilla » Fort Dodge Senior High

If you’ve been following me on social media lately, you know what a craptastic week I had starting last weekend. Losing two kitties, a bad car accident….it was just no good. But I’m so glad to let you all know that I had a much better weekend this week! Priscilla and her friend joined me on Saturday for her senior photos. We explored the woods at Snell-Crawford and meandered downtown Fort Dodge and just generally had a great time!

Priscilla is a senior at FDSH with a ton of creativity and joy. Seriously, her outfit choices were to DIE for. And that smile….well, you can see for yourself how sweet she is! Check out some gorgeous frames from our adventure:
