If you follow me on Facebook, you know that I’ve been excited to tell you these girls’ story all week!  Montgomery (on the far left) and her mom contacted me a few weeks ago about setting up some “non-traditional” senior photos with her three best friends.

The amazing part? These four girls have been best friends since kindergarten.

That blew. my. mind.

But, once I met them and saw them interacting, and goofing around with each other, it became clear to me how much they just fit.

These girls are funny, creative, and they’ve really got a lot of love for one another.  But after 13 years, how could you not?!

We met up last weekend for their session at Des Moines’ Pappajohn Sculpture Park downtown.  I’ve been past the park before, and I was SO EXCITED when she mentioned wanting to do the photos there!

I mean, come on. I couldn’t ask for better backdrops! AND the weather cooperated. It was just perfect 🙂

Montgomery explained to me that she really wanted some photos as a group to have something special to document their final year together.  As she mentioned while we were chatting, photography is so beautiful because you can capture a moment in time that you’ll never get back.  Each of them will be attending different colleges next year, so it means an extra lot to have these memories to hold on to.

Although, after hanging out for even just two hours, I’m confident these girls will be friends for a very, very long time to come. 🙂
